LG’s Awesome 55EA9800 OLED TV

The holiday season is quickly approaching and you may be wondering what might be suitable for a special “family” gift.  Or – you might even be thinking about the best way to view upcoming play-off games and the Super Bowl.  Of course, sitting in the stadium would be the AWESOME, however that might not be possible for many folks.  Instead, you might consider trying out the latest and greatest in HD technology and trends.  It is time to consider the LG55EA9800, a 1080p curved screen OLED TV with an exceptionally great picture.  It has, quite possibly, the best picture to go through lab testing, with unbelievable black levels and a wide color spectrum.

The screen has a built-in Picture Wizard II feature that can walk you through a simple calibration process, however you can easily calibrate to your own expectations, manually adjusting contrast and brightness levels as well as color temperatures.   The LG Color Refiner is included in the LG 55EA9800, which allows for much better tonal enhancement for image processing.  This results in more natural and vibrant colors in the picture images.

There is no back light in this particular model because OLEDs produce their own light.  Experts say that the black levels are dynamite.  The quality of the picture is not impacted by ambient brightness or viewing angle.

This OLED HDTV is 3D ready with LG’s Cinema 3D technology and the 3D picture quality is irresistible.  The technology is passive 3D and there will be no need to worry about keeping the glasses charged.  Four pairs of 3D glasses are included – two pairs of classic glasses and two pairs of clip-ons.

The bottom line is this:  if you want to give your family and friends an excellent theater-like experience, be sure to include the LG 55EA9800 in your home theater.  This OLED technology represents the future of high-end HDTVs.
