Control4: Smart Home with a Smart Phone

Control4: Smart Home with a Smart PhoneAsk four or five different people what home automation is and you will probably get four or five different answers.  Home automation uses technology to make your daily tasks in your home or office easier, safer, or not so expensive.  Home automation systems can create improved home theater and entertainment systems, control any or all lights and dimmers, strengthen home security, automate locks and doors, and increase energy efficiency.

Have you been considering adding some sort of automation in your home?  The basic thought behind home automation is that one piece of equipment will tell another piece of equipment to do something (open door, turn on, turn off, turn lights on or off, etc.), without someone manually making it happen.  These pieces of equipment need to talk over some sort of network, using some type of protocol.  Communication protocol can be through your electrical system (existing power lines), over your home’s Wi-Fi network, through Bluetooth or even via your cellular network.

Did you know that with Control4, your smart phone has the ability to control all the electronic components in your home?  This pioneering product gives you the ability to manage and control various electronically operated gadgets in your home automatically – all from one specific interface.  The average consumer today has multiple smart electronic devices in their home.  The idea behind the Control4 home automation system is to make the devices even “smarter” by programming them to work together to save time, money and energy.

Putting together a smart home will definitely make your life less complicated; you can virtually control any device in your home.  Using a remote control to turn on a light across the room or unlocking the front door as you pull into the driveway are examples of using home automation.  Turning on your home sprinkler system with your cell phone or logging in from your computer at work to view your home security cameras are also examples of using home automation.

Now is time to create a smart home to ensure total home control.  Control4 is easily accessible from anywhere, even when you travel or take a long morning run.  The hardware is simple to install and controls are easy to use.  The Control4 system is flexible, so you can start with a small system in one room and add more components and rooms over time.

According to comScore, Inc., a leader in measuring the digital world, 147.9 million people on the U.S. owned Smartphones at the end of September 2013.  If you are one of the many smartphone users and you are looking for an effective way to manage a home automation system with your mobile device, Control4 is a great choice.  The 4Sight app is designed to integrate with Control4 home automation, and you can use it virtually anywhere you have 3G/4G or Internet access.  With a 4Sight subscription you also get access to your Control4 system from a web browser, giving you the ability to enjoy security features designed to keep you safely connected and in control anytime, no matter where you are.

Your Control4 system can send messages to your smartphone or tablet about the status of your system, so you always know what is going on at home.  Custom alerts such as “Water leak detected in the basement”, “Front door is unlocked”, or “Garage door left open”  can be sent to inform you of important concerns as soon as they happen;  with that information, you can respond quickly.

Give your electronic devices some brains with an easy to use interface that allows you to control your home from anywhere, even on your mobile device. Learn more about Control4 lifestyles today!

The Mitsubishi HC8000D Projector

All Star Audio Video - The Mitsubishi HC8000D ProjectorThe Mitsubishi HC8000D home theater projector is a great addition for any dedicated family home theater.  It comes finished in a black shiny case, which blends in nicely with most home theater equipment and surroundings.  (For those more interested in putting this projector in a bright or open family room, living room, etc., the HC8000D has a less expensive, but similar version that comes in a white case.)  Because the HC8000D is a smaller projector, it fits nicely in smaller rooms.

From a performance perspective, the emphasis of the HC8000D projector is in delivering a much higher contrast or better black levels.  While it is not quite “best in class”, this projector has very good shadow detail.  It also has excellent overall color, especially with skin tones.

Because the HC8000D projector has a 1.5:1 manual zoom lens, it has a better than normal zoom range, especially considering that it is a home DLP projector.  This particular Mitsubishi projector provides as much placement flexibility as possible, compared to most other home DLP projectors.  This Mitsubishi model has creative frame interpolation for very smooth motion, and it has a full color management system for excellent callibration.   DLPs tend to be a bit noisy, when it comes to audible noise.  The HC8000D is a bit quieter than most other DLP projectors, especially when compared to other less expensive models. This projector has two different lamp modes:  full and eco-mode.  Considering the large lamp life difference between the two modes, you will probably want to run the lamp in eco-mode, as long as you have enough brightness.

The HC8000D projector is definitely 3D capable, but you will need a couple things before you watch your first 3D movie.   First of all, you will need the actual 3D movie.  In addition, you will need a 3D emitter which plugs into the input panel.   And – of course, you will also need 3D glasses – the usual active shutter type. Mitsubishi recommends either their relatively new proprietary Mitsubishi glasses, or universal glasses from a 3rd party manufacturer such as XpanD. The proprietary Mitsubishi glasses are considered moderately lightweight, at 55.2 grams (almost two ounces).  They are brighter than typical lightweight glasses and use the High Speed setting in the 3D menu.

The Mitsubishi HC8000D produces a very clean 3D image.  If you are trying to fill a large screen however, the HC8000D simply does not have enough muscle power in 3D.  In essence, this is a projector better suited for smaller to medium sized room and screens. There are a number of other pros to consider with the Mitsubishi HC8000D Projector:

—No problems have been experienced with 720p or 1080i/p content from any DirecTV 3D channel or Blu-Ray 3D.

—Dynamic iris is very smooth.

—The lamp life is excellent (rated 5000 hours) in Eco Mode.

—Low maintenance – no filters to change.

—Lamp can be replaced without dismounting the projector.

—Excellent warranty: 3 years parts and labor

When it comes to the HC8000D projector, image quality is a key feature.  If you are considering adding to your home theater set-up in 2014, now is the time to check out the HC8000D projector.  Your family will certainly enjoy this using great projector!

  • All Star Audio Visual - The Vizio E320i-A0 Smart TV

The holiday season is in full swing, and many of us are looking for the perfect gift for friends and family.  If you are looking for that special electronic gift for a teenager or young adult, be sure to consider a 32 inch LCD HDTV – it’s just the right size for a bedroom or other personal space. This year, let Santa bring the Vizio E320i-A0 –  an affordable Smart TV that is perfect in a bedroom setting where there is usually less room for external boxes to coordinate with the TV.

This particular Vizio model is ideal for smaller rooms and spaces, including a home office; it measures 19.25 inches high by 28.74 inches wide by 7.46 inches deep, including its base.  The panel itself is slim (only 3.34 inches thick), so this nice-looking TV is compact and able to fit into relatively small places.  The screen has a near matte finish, while the bezel framing the screen is gloss black.

Beyond its look and great pricing, this TV is a dynamo with many capabilities and a relatively good picture.  Add up all of the great features that come with this Smart TV and you will see that the Vizio E320i-A0 is a great choice for tweens, teens and young adults, especially if the viewers will be looking to stream video on their new TV.

The Smart content selection is excellent and many folks would say it is among the best available today. Vizio leaves no major video services off the list, even though it does not yet have some of the sought out sports apps. Skype, a very popular app, is active on this TV, although in order to use it, you will need to buy a camera/speakerphone.  There is plenty of music to choose from as well, including Pandora, Rhapsody, iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio.

The Vizio E320i-A0 has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 (720p) and LED backlighting, allowing the panel to use much less energy than conventional fluorescent backlighting.  Family members will love the fact that this model is Internet-enabled and can easily access online content, including streaming movie services. It has an Ethernet jack for connecting to your home network via a cable, however this TV is also Wi-Fi capable, so it can be connected to a home network wirelessly.   In addition, the DLNA certification enables viewers to access and see digital photos stored on a compatible computer, phone, or other mobile device that is connected to your home network, a feature that everyone will enjoy.

There are 3 HD-capable inputs: 2 HDMI and 1 component-video, which can also be used as composite-video.  This TV also has a USB port, which allows the viewer to plug in a thumb drive or memory card reader to  play stored photos, videos, and music on the TV.

The bottom line is this:  if you are looking to put a smile on someone’s face during this holiday season, be sure to choose the Vizio E320i-A0 Smart TV.  You can’t go wrong with this sleek, yet affordable, choice.

Sony XBR-65X900A 4K Ultra HDTV

All Star Audio Video - Sony XBR-65X900A 4K Ultra HDTV

We are well into the 4th quarter of 2013, and the holidays are right around the corner.  So now is the time to start thinking about holiday gift giving.  What is on your list for that someone special in your life?  Is your special someone hoping for a new TV?  Or are you thinking about a special gift for the entire family?  Perhaps it is time to consider the latest in TV technology, specifically the Sony XBR-65X900A 4K Ultra HD TV.  It’s a thin and elegant 65-inch backlit LED TV set, with a superb picture that is bolstered by more than 8 million pixels, not to mention an absolutely brilliant color palette. This exceptional TV is perfect for those who enjoy 3-D viewing.  With powerful 65 watt sound coming from six front-facing speakers, you will be amazed with what you see and hear.

So what does it mean to see over 8 million pixels?  Consider that most HD TVs have about 2 million pixels.  Four times as many pixels means that you will see more TV than you could ever imagine.  Sony’s advanced picture processing ensures that each and every pixel exhibits the images with outstanding brightness and true detail.

With the Sony XBR-65X900A 4K Ultra HD TV, everything you see will look better.  Watching your favorite TV shows, Blu-ray and other DVD movies, or even videos from your smartphone will be a more than pleasant surprise.  You will immediately notice a difference in the spectacular picture quality.   Sony’s new 4K X-Reality PRO chip improves HD (and lower resolution) images by analyzing and polishing images with beautifully natural detail and dazzling color.

This 4K Ultra HD TV also delivers a delightfully natural look.  The Dynamic Edge LED backlighting, with local dimming, provides pitch-black night scenes and illuminates bright scenes that explode with vivid color.  Contrast is boosted in just the right areas for a more realistic picture.

Enhance your TV experience with Sony’s TV SideView.  This program allows you to control the TV or browse the channel guide with your smartphone, Xperia Tablet or other tablet devices (iOS or Android), all without affecting what you are watching on the TV.  With TV SideView, you can search what is available to watch on your TV, the web, YouTube or on Netflix, and then select to view it on this 65” screen.

Is your special someone a gamer or do you have other family members who are gaming aficionados?   If the answer is yes, they will absolutely love this TV.  Gone are the days of playing in split screen mode.  Two players can experience their own big-screen view of the action while they go head-to-head in their favorite games.  Sony’s SimulView™ gaming presents two different full screen pictures at the same time.  Each player sees only their own point of view across the entire screen, while wearing light, comfortable glasses that don’t need batteries.

If you are ready to purchase the latest and greatest  TV viewing experience for that special someone in your life, it’s time to look at Sony’s 4K Ultra HD TV.  You will be the best Santa ever this year!

Control4® Business Automation Solutions

All Star Audio Video - Discover Control4® Business Automation Solutions.jpgThe phrase “home automation” sounds great, but what about automation solutions for businesses?   Most business owners have so many things to worry about to keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly. In today’s fast-paced and very busy world, small businesses, and large enterprises, use automation for security and to efficiently handle the technology of business operations.  Control4® is a great solution for almost any business; business owners are using it currently to create a definite competitive advantage through improved productivity and greater security.

For business owners, there are many different ways that the Control4® automation can improve efficiency in daily operations, while creating a good working experience for employees and increasing customer satisfaction.  Consider the following possibilities:

1.  Make your clients feel welcome the minute they walk in the door.  Set up the perfect lighting and music to greet your customers.    You can easily preset a “scene” that will activate automatically at any time during the day or even when the first employee arrives to open the office.

2.  Wireless Control4® thermostats make it effortless to control temperature based on business hours or outside climate.  It makes no sense to power on the air conditioning without dimming the shades when the sun is bright.  Imagine, in a restaurant setting, you can even set shades/blinds to automatically raise and lower, based on a preset “scene” related to the early morning sunshine or the setting sun in the evening.  For customers, this means no bright sunlight blinding them as they enjoy their meal.

3.  Set specific times for security systems to arm or disarm, set lights throughout the office to turn on when the day begins and turn off at the end of the day, and set up TVs and videos to turn on when the office opens and turn off when all your customers are gone.  You will reap the rewards financially with lower operating/energy costs and efficient use of employee time.

4.  Interface with your security system remotely.  You can set alerts to be notified if anything happens while you are away or the office is closed.  Alerts can tell you if there is unusual activity happening in your business spaces or even if lights and equipment are left on after hours.

5.  Increase your customer satisfaction by giving them an experience that they won’t soon forget, such as a personalized movie, concert or cartoon during a root canal or minor surgery.  Imagine giving hotel guests a customized room experience – from lighting to automated drapes and personalized entertainment.

Amazingly, this can be done easily,
—Onsite, or from anywhere outside your actual business location
—From a computer
—From touchscreen panels, iPads or fancy light switches
—Automatically, based on a schedule
—Automatically, based on other “events” that happen, like doors opening or motion sensors being set off
—One at a time, or all together

The basic idea behind home or business automation is that something tells another thing to do something (open door, turn on, turn off, turn lights on or off, notify someone, and so on), usually without someone physically making it happen.  One day, this type of automation may be as simple as calling out commands from anywhere in the home or business setting, in order for a system of microphones to pick up the words to translate them into actions.  At this point, however, automation in both home and business environents is not yet quite so easy.

Today, these pieces need to talk over some sort of network, using some type of protocol.   From a business perspective, communication protocol can be through a Wi-Fi network or it can be through the electrical system (existing power lines).  Communication can also be through proprietary protocols that equipment manufacturers have established so that their equipment can talk with other companies’ equipment.  Of course, you will need a Control4® Controller device to make this kind of automation possible.   The controller will be the basic “brains” of the automation, providing the behind-the-scenes management of all the intelligent devices your operations will be using.

Just a few Control4® products can bring about a remarkable difference for your business.  Even better, Control4® solutions effortlessly integrate with third-party systems and applications, including video-conferencing systems, locks, IP cameras, shades and so much more to bring efficient and effective control to your business.

Control4® partners with certified system designers and integrators who share a vision and passion for excellence.  By combining the award-winning solutions of the Control4® products and the professional expertise of the certified installers, you can certainly improve your business costs and efficiency, while offering a WOW experience for your clients and customers.

All Star Audio Visual - Samsung's Affordable Ultra HD 4K TV

The UE55F9000 is Samsung’s first “conventional” Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K TV; it combines a 3,840 x 2,160 native pixel resolution together with the world’s most advanced Smart TV system, Samsung’s most powerful quad-core processing engine, and active 3D playback.  This is by far one of 2013’s most sensational TVs.

Design and Connections

The Samsung UE55F9000 presents a visually appealing appearance with its sleek, yet classy, slim-bezelled design.  While most consumers might expect all connections to be in the back of the TV, Samsung put almost all of them onto an external connections box.  Connections on the long, thin, elegant box include four HDMIs, three USBs, a LAN port and built-in Wi-Fi, while connection with the TV is achieved via a single proprietary cable.

Smart TV

This Samsung 4K TV has all of Samsung’s Smart TV functionality, offering users a wide variety of choice for their home viewing pleasure.  Family members can enjoy their favorite TV shows and Blu-Ray movies, along with the wide variety of video streaming apps that are also available.  For family members who are hooked into the world of social media,  Samsung’s Social TV feature allows users to see Facebook activity, Twitter feeds and other social media platforms on a side bar.  As with other Samsung Smart TV’s, this 4K TV also includes motion control, voice control, and the same five-hub content-dividing onscreen interface.  This amazing TV is even smart enough to learn your viewing habits and can make recommendations accordingly.

Full HD to Ultra HD upscaling

The Samsung 4K TV does an absolutely incredible job when it comes to upscaling performance.  While you might not think the difference between HD and Ultra HD would be so noticeable, the first thing that hits you about HD pictures upscaled to Ultra HD (4K) is the truly stunning level of detail and sharpness.  Running the Samsung UE55F9000 right alongside competitive brands, viewers can immediately see that Samsung’s upscaling approach delivers a crisp, more detailed finish.

4K Picture Quality

Picture quality is a feature that is important to most TV viewers.  With this particular Samsung TV, the amount of detail available is absolutely mesmerizing; viewers will find that this Ultra HD 4K TV gives pictures a level of precision and depth way beyond what can be seen with a normal HD image.   Colors also look more natural in tone and blend, and the extra pixels make it possible for the screen to handle color blending with a much greater precision.  This particular technology also helps the picture reach a greater sense of depth and solidity.

Keep in mind that this TV only has a 55-inch screen, therefore the fact that you can clearly appreciate both the sharpness and depth of the Samsung’s 4K TV images is impressive.  If you want to both improve the look of your current HD sources and be ready for a 4K future that is coming very soon, then it is time to consider making the leap by buying a Samsung UE55F9000.  This TV does a spectacular job of rendering both native Ultra HD and upscaled HD footage, and once you see the quality of the picture and work through all of the other fantastic features, you will be able to confirm for yourself that seeing is believing.

Without a doubt, you will want a Samsung UE55F9000 for your home as soon as possible!

Sonos Multi-room Audio System

All Star Audio Video-Sonos Multi-room Audio SystemThe Sonos Multi-room Audio System is an awesome. wireless solution to stream music throughout a house, especially for those who love to listen to the sound of great music. It comes with an intuitive user interface that is easy to use because it seems to think the way we do.  This system allows you to share your own iTunes library, if it is stored on a networked computer or an NAS (Network Storage Device), or you might choose to share music directly from Pandora, Spotify or any one of the other radio stations or services currently available via the Internet.

Whether you are looking to stream music in to just a couple of rooms or throughout your entire home, this Sonos system can accommodate 2 to 32 zones or rooms.  It uses SonosNet, a wireless mesh network that provides reliable whole-house coverage.  With SonosNet, each zone (room) acts as a separate wireless hub with wide coverage and audio synchronization, ensuring no audio delay or wireless interference.

A conventional three-room system starts with a Sonos Zone Player for each room.  For example, you might put a ZP120 (amplified) Zone Player with a pair of speakers in the living room, a ZP90 Zone Player (un-amplified) connected to a tabletop music system with speakers in your home office and the new Sonos S5 Zone Player in the master bedroom.

The Sonos S5 has a robust sound quality just like a pair of good bookshelf speakers with plenty of rich bass and clear, crisp midrange and highs.  It has a hearty sound that is ideal for music or even talk radio programs, making it very easy to listen to.  This piece of equipment is a stand-alone component that fits easily on a table, shelf or countertop and it includes built-in digital amps and five speakers.

Each of the components can be purchased individually or in a pre-packaged bundle with zone players and the Sonos CR200 Controller.  If you want to add more rooms or zones to your initial system, it is easy to do; the Sonos Multi-room Audio System is expandable – just add additional zone players and speakers, as needed.

Sonos Set-up – Out of the Box Easy

Some multi-room audio systems are so complicated that highly trained specialists are needed to get the system up and running.  The Sonos system is so simple to set up and use that you can do it yourself!  All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and a router to get started. Then simply open the box, decide where you want music, follow a few simple set-up instructions and then enjoy the music.

Using the Sonos System

This entire system is easily controlled with the Sonos CR200 Controller, a simple hand-held remote with a bright, easy-to-read LCD touch display.  Even though the Sonos CR200 is one of the coolest parts of this particular sound system, it is interesting to note that Apple has a free application that can be downloaded to your iPhone or iPod Touch to control the Sonos system.  The Apple app can be used with or as an alternative to the Sonos CR200 Controller.

The Sonos CR200 Controller is intuitive, fun to use, and easy to navigate; you can learn to use it in no time at all.  The controller has three main keys:  volume (up/down), mute and the home key.  This home key is important because it takes you back to the top of the menu where connected zones are displayed. Other functions, including favorites, playlists, source selection, and settings, are displayed on the controller’s touch screen.

To use the controller, just select a room, select a source and press Play Now.  Each zone can listen to a different source or the same source. The same source feature is great when entertaining a large group; the same piece of music can be heard in the living room, family room, dining room and even the kitchen, depending on the number of zones set up.

Music to Your Ears

With the Sonos Multi-room Audio System, you will find that the variety of listening choices leaves nothing to be desired.  Not only do you have many internet radio options, you can also compile your favorite music playlists on the system and you can find them quickly and easily with the controller.  You can separately control the program and volume in each zone, and the controller even displays the iTunes album art or radio station logos for the source currently playing.

The Sonos Multi-room Audio System is designed to work flawlessly throughout your house, in several rooms or in every room.  You can start small and expand over time and Sonos has made sure that it all works together seamlessly and wirelessly.   You can play the same song in every room with perfect synchronicity or simultaneously play different songs in different rooms.  If you are looking for a wireless audio system for your home, consider the Sonos Multi-room Audio System.  If you love music, you will certainly love this Sonos audio system.

StudioMonitor 55 – Dynamic Speakers

All Star Audio Video StudioMonitor 55 - Dynamic SpeakersDefinitive Technology is one of those brands that needs no introduction.  The company has a great reputation for creating high-performance, high-value speakers to use with any home theater system and that means that Definitive Technology has global appeal, especially among budget-conscious consumers. The StudioMonitor 55 (SM55) bookshelf speakers are priced right and they will ensure that you want to listen to your collection of music over and over again.

Most AV receivers and amplifiers can easily be used with the SM55 speakers.  The stated frequency response is 32 Hx to 30 kHz, so you don’t really need a sub-woofer; that is, of course, unless you are planning to rattle the windows or crank up a little bass-heavy music.

The current version if the SM55 speakers comes with a matte black, vinyl wood grain finish that will appeal to most consumers. The speakers are 13 inches tall, 8 inches wide and about 12 inches deep; believe it or not, they only weigh about 15.5 pounds.  These speakers come with two pairs of five-way binding posts which allows the equipment owner to bi-wire or bi-amp, if desired.

StudioMonitor 55 speakers use a single, one inch tweeter with a pure-aluminum dome.  These tweeters are created in such a way that they produce ”extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer” in the sound without a trace of edginess.

When it comes to the bass, the SM55 uses a 6.5 inch, cast-basket drive called a Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS), a technology that incorporates a surround on both the inner and outer edges of the speaker core.  The most current version of the StudioMonitor 55 speakers also uses a Linear Response Wave guide that gives a greater than normal “total bass radiating area”, according to the manufacturer.

When it comes to actual performance, StudioMonitor 55 speakers are considered to be top-of-the-line.  When you listen to outstanding vocals, you will find that that the SM55 excels.  These speakers reproduce accurate and natural vocal timbres, ensuring that all voices sound rich and powerful.

The SM55’s mid-range creates an open and natural window for jazz recordings.  Jazz piano recordings are warm and inviting; other jazz instrumentals have been described as rich, open and airy, with perfect definition when listening through the SM55 speakers.

If you are a classical music fan, you will find the StudioMonitor 55 bookshelf speakers to be an amazing addition to your audio/visual home theater system.  These speakers beautifully provide a full range of dynamics, from booming fff all the way down to the whisper-like sounds of a delicate ppp.  Close you eyes when listening to a classical symphony or piano sonata and you will feel like you are actually attending the concert or recording session.  You may experience delicate orchestral textures or a bombastic sense of drama, right from the comfort of your own home.

To sum it all up, Definitive Technology has produced a detailed bookshelf speaker that is a great value for the money.  Considering its great mid-bass definition and the dynamic drama with orchestral works, the StudioMonitor 55 speakers are one of the industry’s top budget performers.  Imagine listening to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture after your 4th of July barbecue with these speakers.  What a great way to finish up your Independence Day celebration!

Amazing Panasonic TC-PST60 TVs

All Star Audio Video Amazing Panasonic TC-PST60 TVsIf you are looking for an amazing, yet affordable plasma TV experience, then the Panasonic TC-PST60 TV brings you a great picture quality at just the right price.

There are many things to consider when choosing a TV, so here is the scoop on the Panasonic TC-PST60 TV features:

—Picture quality

The picture quality on the TC-PST60 TV is one of the TV’s best features.  The quality is outstanding, and some have even described it as stunning and breath-taking. This TV has deep black levels and shadow details that are better than you have ever experienced.  The accurate color and video processing are considered to be superb as well.  It has a bright picture with an anti-reflective filter that clearly surpasses prior plasma models.

—Smart TV

This year’s Panasonic plasma TV model has a Smart TV interface that has been completely redesigned, making it much more interesting to use.  For example, you can now create custom pages to organize all your favorite or most-used applications. That can be really handy for families looking to group apps and content for each of the TV’s various users. The new Smart TV interface offers several other templates for background customization and naming pages. You can easily access the installed applications just by hitting the “apps” key.  To install other applications, however, you will need to go through Viera Connect after you create an account.  In addition, there is a Web browser included in the Smart TV feature.

—Picture settings

The TC-PST60 TV has some extra advanced controls for the TV picture which include a 10-point gamma and gray-scale system, along with better color management.  You will also find an extra picture mode called Home Theater, over and above the standard four modes.

—3D Technology

The TC-PST60 TV uses active-shutter 3D technology.  With this particular model, Panasonic has included two pairs of TY-ER3D5MA glasses. These 3D glasses are light and comfortable, although some say that the frames are a little too thick.  With the TY-ER3D5MA glasses, you will find excellent 3D picture quality.  There is very little crosstalk (images for the left and right eyes overlapping onto one another).  Only a few slight traces are visible in the most highly contrasted images (a white 3D object on a dark background), and frankly, scenes like that are quite rare in most films

—Design

The perfect combination of glass and metal make this Panasonic TV an awesome-looking device for your home theater.  The sleek frame has a glossy black color and it is about the same width as last year’s similar model.  The panel depth is thinner, giving it the look of several modern LCD TV sets.  It includes non-illuminated remote control that features clear button differentiation.  The TC-PST60 TV has two menu systems which are separated.  The first is for Smart TV and the second may be entered by the “menu” key on the remote. The settings menus have been greatly improved, making for easier navigation.

What’s not to like about the Panasonic TC-PST60 TV?  Stunning picture quality, excellent design and features and great pricing will make it a deal you won’t want to miss in 2013!
