Triton Five Tower Speakers
Earlier this year, GoldenEar Technology introduced their latest Triton Tower speakers at the CES convention in Las Vegas. As with all of the Triton speakers, convention attendees were quite impressed with this latest model, called the Triton Five, and the debut was a success.
While not as large as the first three models, this latest model in the Triton Tower series includes many features that work together to create a pleasing audio experience, whether you are listening to current popular music or the classical sounds of a full orchestral symphony. The tweeter design, called the HVFR (High Velocity Ribbon) or AMT (Air Motion Transducer), produces the sound of larger, more expensive speakers, even though the Triton Five’s are not as big. Interestingly, the Air Motion Transducer uses the pleated ribbon to force air out, working like the pleats of an accordion. This particular tweeter is noted for its outstanding dynamics and impressive treble (upper range) details.
Unlike the Triton One, Two and Three however, the Triton Five speakers are more like the Triton Seven model; the Triton Five and Seven models use a more traditional acoustic woofer. According to GoldenEar Technology specs, the Triton Five speakers use 2 six inch high-def drivers and 4 eight inch planer sub-bass radiators to reach 26 Hz.
As demonstrated at the 2015 CES convention, the Triton Five’s overall sound is coherently blended from top to bottom, a velvet combination of frequencies providing a lush audio experience. GoldenEar has a wide range of other speakers (subwoofers, center and surround sound) to create the ultimate surround sound experience in the comfort of your home. Combine a pair of these tower speakers with GoldenEar’s Dual-Plane Inertially-Balanced SuperSub XXL subwoofer and the SuperCinema 3D Array XL soundbar and you will have the audio part of your home theater nicely covered. Depending on your home theater design, you might consider adding in-ceiling speakers to use with a Dolby Atmos processor or a regular receiver. The Triton Five Tower speakers work especially well with GoldenEar’s Invisa HTR 7000 ceiling speakers.
The Triton Five Tower speakers will make your home theater audio experience amazing. The sound comes alive no matter what type of music is playing. When you listen to a jazz piece, you will find that these speakers produce a warm, intimate sound. Even though the recorded music is playing right there in your home theater, you will feel like you are seated in a jazz club, perhaps in New Orleans. If your passion is classical music, you will find that your home theater sound system, including these tower speakers, will wrap the music around you as enjoy your favorite symphony or opera. Close your eyes and imagine sitting in the front row of a symphony hall. With these speakers and a really good surround sound set-up, movie fans and gamers will become immersed in the action on the screen; being in the center of all the action is fun for all.
No matter what you enjoy listening to, GoldenEar Technology’s Triton Five speakers are well worth the price. They work quite well, no matter what other equipment or application you may be using. With these speakers as part of your audio system, you and your family will thoroughly enjoy your favorite music and movies in the comfort of your own home!
